CDO Evening Echo ladies A division shield final goes to Ma Dullea's


Sean Leahy of the CDO presenting Lillian Walsh captain of Ma Dullea's with the CDO Evening Echo A division shield after their 3/0 win over the Southside Bar in last nights final played at the Glenryan Tavern.
Ma Dullea's winners in the final were Kathryn Hewitt, Mary Long and Rita Hannigan.
The lady of the match award went to Mary Long who had a tremendous finish from 126 in the middle leg of her win at number two game.
Mary threw a treble 20, single 16 and bull to cap a fine performance by her.
Ma Dullea's defeated the Anglers Sports Bar in the semi-final 3/1 while the Southside defeated the Red Cove Inn in their semi-final by 3/0.
Upcoming competitions
Thursday night at the Glenryan Tavern will see the finish of the ladies A division shield sponsored by the Evening Echo.The line-up for the semi-finals is as follows; Ma Dullea's v Anglers on board 1 and Southside v Red cove Inn on board 2, both timed for 8.45 start.
Also on Thursday night the semi-finals of the Galows ladies B division will be played and the line-up here is as follows: Joshua Tree v Junction and Gallows v Glenryan Tavern.
The final will be played on Tuesday December 15th.
In mens darts the final of the High House sponsored junior division will be played at the High House on Monday next December 7th, the featured teams are Baker Street and Johnnies.
Both teams to be present at the venue at 9.15.
Next Monday night December 7th, we also have the quarter-finals in the Gallows B division league and the Murphy stout C division league and the line-up and venues here are as follows' B division semi-finals at the Gallows, Red Cove Inn v O'Cionnaigh's and Hennessy's v Riverstown Inn.
The Murphy Stout C division semi-finals line up at the Local is as follows: Maple Leaf v Cow and Red Cove v Swan.
All four of the above semi-finals are timed for a 9.45 start.

Noonan wins Pat Corcoran memorial individual championship.


Pictured above is Vince Noonan of the Red Cove Inn being presented with the Pat Corcoran memorial individual trophy which he won last night at St, Vincents by Liz Corcoran, widow of the late Pat Corcoran.
Vince defeated St, Vincent's player Martin Cronnin in the final by three legs to nil.
Semi-finalists were Peter Glavin of Ma Dullea's and Donie Walsh of Murphy's Rock.

Pat Corcoran Men’s B & C Individual
Championship 2009
The Pat Corcoran Memorial B & C Individual Championship is set for Friday, 13th November, at St. Vincents GAA Club.
This is confined to registered male CDO Players.
Entry fee is €8. Prize fund of €550 with €300 to the winner, €150 for runner-up and €50 for semi-finalists.
Entries accepted up until the delegate meeting of Tuesday, Novebmber 10th at the Gill Tavern, on which date the draw will also be made.
Tournament begins at 8:30pm Sharp.
Jimmy Walsh Doubles Annual
Tournament 2009
The Jimmy Walsh Doubles Annual Tournament (In conjunction with the Shandon View Leukaemia Fund) for B & C Players (Ladies Welcome) is to be held at ST. Vincents GAA Club on Friday 20th November.
Entry charge is €10 per pair. Tournament begins at 8:30pm Sharp.
Entries on the night, by 8pm.
County ranking competition at Bandon.
Pat Corcoran B&C grade singles
The Pat Corcoran memorial B&C grade individual championship will be played at St, Vincent's GAA club on Friday November 13th, 2009 at 8.30pm.Entries will be accepted at the next delegate meeting of the CDO and final entries will be accepted on Tuesday November 10th when the draw for the competition will also be made.

Hannigan and Doyle win doubles
Rita Hannigan and Kathleen Doyle representing Ma Dullea's were the winners of the Telecom sponsored ladies doubles championship which was played at the Telecom club on Thursday night last.In the final Hannigan and Doyle defeated Bronagh Mallon and Lil Foley from the Southside Bar by three legs to two.
O'Shea wins beamish individual championship


Winner of the Beamish individual championship played at St, Vincent's on friday night last John O'Shea of the Tower Bar with the runner-up in the final Craig Sproat of the Shamrock Bar on the left.
O'Shea took the title by a three legs to two win over sproat.
The semi-finalists were Stephen O'Connor of Brannigans and Thomas Murphy of the Anglers Sports lounge.
Beamish individual championship
The beamish individual championship will be played on tomorrow night Friday October 16th, at St, Vincent's GAA club on the blarney Road.The draw was made at Tuesday nights delegate meeting and first games will be called to the oches at 8.30pm.
Any player not responding when called to play will be scratched from the competition.
Winners purse is €400, runner-uo €200 with the semi-finalists getting €100 each.
Ladies Doubles Championship
A Ladies Doubles Championship will be held on Thursday October 22nd @ 8.30 sharp at the Telecom Club on Macurtain street.Prize Fund will be money in money out. Forms are available at C.D.O delegate meetings and final entries will be accepted on Tuesday 20th October where the draw will be made. Entry fee 10 euros per team and no entries accepted by phone or on the night.
World rings championships comes to Cork

The World Ring Board championships will be coming to Cork on the weekend of the 17th, and 18th, of October 2009.
The venue will be the Commons Inn Hotel on the new Mallow Road and over the course of the two days of competition there will be thirteen titles to be won.
Included in the title list are:
Male open A series: 400x3 games
Male open B series: 400x3 games
Male open C series:300x3 games
Female open A series:300x3 games
Female open B series:200x3 games
Polo (80mm) 200x2 games
Underhand:300x3 games
Under 23:300x3 games
Over 60:300x3 games
Male around Board: one game
Female around board:one game
Male doubles:400x3 games
Female doubles.:300x3 games
The above formats does not take into account the grand finals which may differ from early rounds.
Competition on the saturday will commence at 2.pm

Beamish individual championship
The CDO men's Beamish individual championship will be played at St, Vincent's GAA club on Friday October 16th, at 8.30pm.Entry forms are now available at any delegate meeting and must be returned for the draw which will take place at the delegate meeting of Tuesday October 13th, 2009.
Total prize money on offer on the night is €800 of which €400 will go to the winner, €200 to the runner-up and €100 to each of the semi-finalists.
