It appears that the lads and lassies of the Gerald Griffin Bar A dart team are not happy campers at the moment and once again there is a problem with rules and regulations in darts in cork
My sources tell me that the crux of the issue is that the Griffin the Anglers and Doughcloyne all had the same amount of points after the group stages of the Crean and McGarry cup and the Griffin were eliminated even thought they had a better count back average between the 3 teams and the doughcloyne were second in that regard.
Low and behold out comes a new rule and the Anglers qualify the griffin walk.
It appears that this rule has been written in to CDO annals somewhere even though it also seems that some of the committee and most of he players in cork have never heard of it.
The exact nature of the rule is unknown but I believe that the Griffin people have asked for a copy, lets see how that progresses
I have heard that there has been discussions between the senior members of all teams left and even the Anglers players don’t know how they qualified.
It is a pity that there will be a cloud hanging over Final night of a competition held in such esteem.

Again truthbetold interferes in something he has only on hearsay so its understandable that he or she would be afraid to identify themselves. We as an organisation have no doubts about our competition rules nor do we change them at a whim to suit ourselves. This attitude to rules may be acceptable elsewhere but we would not condone such actions. Finally i would suggest if mr. truthbetold is a member of theC.D.O. and not satisfied with the running of our organisation maybe he/she should take an active part or else shut up and leave us to do our job to which we have been elected.
